ReStore named U.S. Chamber Honoree

The Habitat ReStore Quad Cities has been designated a Free Enterprise Honoree by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. On March 1st, the U.S. Chamber announced 75 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award® winners of 2010. In addition to the Blue Ribbon businesses, 25 small businesses, including the Quad Citis ReStore, were named Free Enterprise Honorees for their strong business practices and contributions to the economy.

"Our judges’ panel was impressed with your company’s accomplishments....we are proud to recognize your business’ success story." wrote Margaret Shepard of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Things have been picking up around the ReStore!

Members of the ReStore paid and volunteer staff teamed up on Tuesday April 28th to clean up the neighborhood.	CLICK HERE to learn how you can Adopt a Quad Cities neighborhood to care for.
ReStore has adopted the "block" boardered by Kimberly Rd., Mississippi Ave, 39th St. and Eastern Ave. as part of Scott County Waste Commission's "i live here QC" Adopt-an area Program. More than 10 bags of waste, a child's pool and an unmailed letter were collected.

ReStore now carries Furniture!

ReStore now has a large new showroom dedicated to furniture. Shop for tables, sofas, chairs, desks, dressers, bed frames and more. Inventory changes daily.

We are happy to accept donations of quality dining, living room, bedroom and family room furniture. Please see our list of criteria. Better yet, call 563-319-4949 if you have items you'd like to donate. Pickups can be arranged.

Seven Million pounds diverted

The ReStore has diverted more than 7 million pounds!

In April 2012, ReStore passed the 7 million pound milestone. More than 7 million pounds of building materials, furniture and appliances have been diverted from area landfills by the Habitat ReStore.

In 2011 alone, more than 1 million pounds of materials were diverted. Hats off the the paid and volunteer staff who have moved all those pounds!
